just like the one before, everything's again completely handmade, using polymer and air-dry clays and acrylic varnish.

dun sozunu vermis oldugum uzere, listelemeye basladim. en birinci de bu visneli cheesecake dilimi oldu.

as promised yesterday, i started listing. and the very first one is this cherry cheesecake slice.

kasik disinda her seyiyle tamamen el yapimi bu kolye ucunda polimer kil, air-dry clay (vardir kesin turkcesi de bilemedim simdi, havayla kuruyan hamur demek de istemedim nedense) ve akrilik vernik kullanildi.

everything's completely handmade (except for the spoon), using polymer and air-dry clays and acrylic varnish.

dallar kiraz, hava sicak / cherry madness

kulliyen yalan tabi, ne hava sicak, ne dallarda kiraz var, ne de kayahan severim. can bey'den ozenip sarkili turkulu baslik koyayim dedim, daha fazla elime yuzume bulastirmadan da kapiyorum bu bahsi.

velhasil bu visne/kiraz cilginligini da "en sevdigim meyve kiraz" diyerek topu taca atip sonra da kadrajdan kosarak cikan nil hanim'a borcluyum. ha bu ufakliklardan da anca bahsediyorum zira malumunuz fotograf makinam sette esaretin bedelini oduyor. ben de petra hanim'in makinasini odunc aldim bu haftasonluk.

bugunun planindan kisaca bahsetmek gerekirse o da soyle, bahsu gecen kirazli/visneli taki/aksesuarlari "sneak peek" tadinda paylasacagim. akabinde ilerleyen gunlerde de teker teker etsy ve pasaj'da satisa cikaracagim. boyleyken boyle.

i don't really have anyone but nil, who once told her favorite fruit was cherry and then immediately left the frame, to blame for this madness. and i'm telling all these now due to my camera's prison duty in the set. well actually, it continues being a prisoner even now, but i borrowed petra's camera for the weekend.

oncesi&sonrasi: koltuk kaplama / before&after: reupholstering

evet efenim, daha once su yazinin yorumlarinda sozunu vermis oldugum uzere bir koltuk kaplama tutorial'i ile karsinizdayim. bu "once-sonrasi" meselesinin klasik fotografi da hemen yukarida.

well, here i am with a reupholstering of a miniature armchair tutorial, as promised in one of the comments of this post. and yes, the classical photo of the "before-after" thing is right above.

ise koltugumuzu parcalayarak balsliyoruz.

start by disjointing the pieces of the armchair.

akabinde parcalari kaplamakta olan kumaslardan kurtuluyoruz.

then, rip the old upholstery off the pieces.

kaplamasi olmayan koltugun neye benzedigini ogreniyoruz.

then see how the armchair looks without the upholstery.

sonrasinda, parcalari teker teker yeni kumasla kapliyoruz.

and then, cover each piece with your desired fabric.

son olarak koltugun kollarini da kaplayip ayaklari monte ediyoruz.

cover the arms and fix the feet.

koltugu birlestirmeye en alt (ayaklarin oldugu) kisim ve kollardan basliyoruz. o arada da iki parcadan olusan sirt kismini yapistiriyoruz.

start putting together the chair with the bottom part (the one with feet) and the arms. while waiting for those to set, glue the two back pieces together.

sirt kismini da ekleyip maskeleme bandiyla guzelce sariyoruz ki guzelce kurusun yapistirici.

after adding the back piece, cover the whole thing with masking tape nicely so that the glue can set.

veee, ta-daa! koltugunuz yeni kaplamasiyla kullanima hazir.

bu arada, daha once de bahsetmistim. bu koltugu hazir almistim vakt-i zamaninda ama kendisini olusturan parcaciklardan da anlasilacagi uzere sifirdan yapmak da oldukca kolay gorunuyor. maket kartonu, ahsap, balsa ve hatta mukavva ile bile yapilabilecegini dusunuyorum.

hah, unutmadan, su asagidaki de koltugun orijinal hali.

and, voila! your newly upholstered armchair is ready!
by the way, i mentioned earlier that i didn't make this armchair myself but bought it some time ago. however, as you can see, the pieces look quite easy to make. it shouldn't be much of a problem to make this armchair from the start, using cardboard, wood or balsa.
oh and before i forget, the image above is the original look of the armchair.
